It was super easy to make, and there will definitely be more done in the near future.
My daughter likes spending time in Sydney, so when I found this little cross stitch kit in a bargain bin at Spotlight for $3, I couldn't ignore it. It now has pride of place in her bedroom, and she loves it.
Now I have to decide whether to do lots of little bits and pieces, or stick in an do one big project ... who am I kidding, I will probably end up doing both, but I am determined to finish things I start now. What a perfect New Years Resolution!!! :-)

Hello, Coming over from SAL to visit your blog. I have been seeing quite a few of these mug rugs online and have been wanted to make a few for gifts. I'll check out the tutorial...And you cross stitch, also..so do I, although I have only been doing it a few years. Now, I'm going to read more of your posts.

ReplyDeleteI haven't done any major cross stitching for a while, but I've seen a couple of beautiful ones of late that I would love to try. I am determined to complete what I've started first, so it will be a next year project I think :-)
The mug rugs are great gifts Mama Bear!! I'm planning on making a few (and buying some matching cups) for gifts this year myself. Jan did a great mug tutorial that was super easy to follow, if you'd like to look at that. She was my quilt teacher when I did some classes a few years ago, and we have continued to be friends since then. She does some brilliant stuff.
